The Bing Bang Athena Bag
Went shopping today where I discovered this new Bing Bang Athena Flap Clutch. When I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down (that is until Lanvin’s Mini Jeanne stole my attention). The bag was very light, comfortable to hold, and retails for a very reasonable amount.

There are many different color combinations of this Athena Flap. Barney’s currently has the fire engine red w/ dark brown trim and silver hardware, chocolate brown w/ black trim and gold hardware, and the (bag pictured above) black on black classic version with silver hardware.

Rocker-Chic: Thomas Wylde Barolo Clutch
To some people the oversized crystal studded skull looks a bit scary, and usually I don’t find myself liking this type of design (I am so over skull scarves) but I actually do find this clutch to be stylish and fun. It’s like rock-and-roll with a feminine touch.

The Thomas Wylde Barolo bag is dressed in eye-catching bronze cracked leather on the fold over-style clutch body, and topped off with large Swarovski crystal embellished skull gem on front. Oh so very rocker chic. This clutch also features the Thomas Wylde large designer embossed plaque on back, a double zip fastening across top and skull print lining. I am going wild for this Wylde Barolo Clutch, enough to kill for it pay $1,495 for it.

Rachel Roy’s Favs: Chanel Purse & Miu Miu Bag
Cutie fashion designer Rachel Roy is in the latest Allure magazine for this up-and-coming month of September, in a full-page display on page 190 where she reveals her fashion as well as beauty picks for autumn. And of course, being the bag-obsessed woman I am, my eyes fixed onto her latest must-have purse choices: the Chanel quilted canvas with goatskin trim and pearls beading around the border & the Miu Miu grey ostrich flap over handbag with gold hardware.

Marni’s New Deflated Balloon Bag
No you are seeing this correctly. The Marni Balloon bag that flew off store shelves last summer has not been deflated, this is just a new addition to the inflatable purse family.

The Marni Balloon’s new sister, this patent leather tote shares similar features and then some. This version looks so much more appealing, for those of us who don’t like the walking around with the flat balloon look. The not-so-poofy body comes in a deep rich purple glossy patent body with slight pleating down the front, but not too much to make it look balloon-ey. The contrast dark brown leather straps and corner tabs are decorated with a couple stud details that add just the right touch to finish the look. The straps are the most important part because who wants to fidget like every 2 minutes because our bag keeps falling off. Well Marni tackles this concerns with the thin slightly-thick handle straps and removable canvas shoulder strap. Although the attached shorter straps on this bag are short enough for carrying by hand or on arm and just long enough to comfortably carry over the shoulder. I would un-clip or tuck-in the additional strap given. It would also look so much better without.

The deep dark purple version is my favorite but if you are looking for something with autumn hues then you may want to check out brownsfashion.com. They have a rhubarb-ish looking patent and also a dark dirt colored glossy patent version available.

Treesje Metro Clutch
Recently seen in the hands of celebrities like Lindsey Lohan and Lauren Conrad, the Treesje Metro Clutch is the perfect “going out” bag. This over-sized clutch is large enough to hold all of your essentials including your cell phone, keys, makeup, and even your wallet! The simple, clean design of this bag makes it compatible with just about any outfit. You can dress it up or dress it down — anything goes! Marc Jacobs Mix Quilted Classic Coin Pouch
Generally, I’m a super-size big handbag lover. Even though somedays I’m only carrying a wallet, cosmetic case, and my phone I always go for the bigger bag. Bigger is better. Although back in January, when I spotted Lindsay Lohan with the Yves Saint Laurent Belle de Jour Wristlet Clutch I was starstuck. Why did I fall so hard for this bag even though it’s not in the norm of my everyday purse choice? It’s simple, very minimal without all that extra atmospheric space. A perfect candidate for a shopping companion, or even as a mini organizer in your giant purse.

For this spring season Marc Jacobs created the Mix Quilted Classic Coin Pouch. Comes dressed in smooth and shiny calf leather with a pintucked pleat detail on the front and back and comes topped off with a teeny tiny trompe l’œil push-lock stud on the side. Speaking of teeny tiny, this purse measures in at 5″ x 3″ x 2.5″ — probably not big enough for a wallet, but may be just right for some cash, cards, and even lip-gloss. Also, what Marc Jacobs bag would be complete with out the super chunky chain strap? This purse features a chain wristlet strap that measures 7.25″ long. The Mix Bag is available in Chalk white or my favorite, delicious berry colored Lavender.

Anya Hindmarch Loose Pocket Cases and Key Pouches
Anya Hindmarch — a gal that likes to put labels on her bags. She’s famous for the I’m Not A Plastic Bag canvas shopping tote, but did you know she has produced other bags with writing on them? Above, you’ll find a Loose Pocket Case and a Key Pouch from her collection. Hmm, if you ask me, they are coin purses. But leave it to designers to give sophisticated names to ordinary objects! 

The Loose Pocket Case (left) is constructed of metallic leather. It features this adorable scalloped edge and is embossed with a saying. This particular one is pink and says “Fun Money”, but it is also available in a “Cruise Fund” (gold) and an “Odds & Sods” (blue) version. The case measures 7″ x 4 1/2″ x 1/2″ and retails for $145. Now if only she would have designed one that said “Handbag Fund”!

The Key Pouch (right) is constructed of pebbled leather. It features a tasseled zipper pull and a spring-clasp keyring. The one shown is a chestnut brown and is gold embossed with the word “Work”. This key pouch is also available in a “Home” (blue) and a “Car” (tan) version. The pouch measures 5″ x 3″ and retails for $135. Now you can have your keys organized and ready for a quick “grab and go”!

Most amusing about these coin purses, I thought, was how they have this “Martha Stewart” aura about them. Is it just me, or does this seem like something she would create with her trusty sewing machine and glue gun?

The Lauren Merkin Diana Text Lamb Clutch in cobalt blue is both colorful and practical. As I have mentioned before, electric blue hues are hot for Spring and Summer. Also, it can easly match with anything you wear. Michael Kors Beverly Gator Watch Clutch
Everyone says that the watch is one of the first things that you notice when you go into a meeting (along with shoes). When you reach over to shake the others hand, you can’t help but look down and spot that solid piece of expensive wrist candy. This may be mostly true for males than females. Sure I check out the watch, but I also have to take a glance at the whole package before me: shoes, attire, jewelry and of course the handbag.

But what about a wristwatch clutch? Coming at you fresh, from the spring line up from designer Micheal Kors –who have you noticed has been focusing a lot more on handbags– it’s a clutch with a new unique twist. How many other designer’s out there traded in the norm materials for something different? I appreciate that.

It combines the masculinity of the wristwatch band and femininity of the classic alligator-embossed leather clutch in a refreshing lime green shade.
