Not too long ago, I came across this wonderful product from Lovin My Bags called For Handles Only. This cream is an oil inhibiting product that prevents naked leather from darkening. Now I realize that I lot of people actually like their handles to patina, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try this product. From what I have experienced, it does not completely prevent your handles from darkening. Instead, it allows them to darken much more slowly and evenly. No more yucky black spots where your fingers always grasp the handles! Definitely a must-have for anyone who loves Louis Vuitton! The only down side to this product is that it can only be used for prevention and maintenance applications. If your leather has already darkened, this product won’t be able to help you.
For Handles Only is $14.95 for a 2 oz. jar or $26.95 for a 4 oz. jar.

While I was browsing over at Vivre.com, I stumble across this interesting bag by the actress/singer turned bag designer, Sang A. It’s called the River Square Tote and is made from richly-colored python. But not only is this bag yellow (Vivre.com describes it as matte bone), but its square! This unique little number certainly would receive some second looks as it strolled down the street! What makes this bag even more intriguing is the repetition of the square shape. The hardware located at the base of the handles, as well as the zipper pull, are all squares. For added convenience, the bag also features an optional shoulder strap and a front pocket for your keys. A good sized tote, it measures 13″ x 16″ x 3½”. Although this bag, with its $2,450 price tag, would probably not be found in my own collection, I can definitely say that I would admire anyone I saw carrying it. Who knows, perhaps it will be you!

Head on over to Eluxury (dot com) now, and you will be greeted by a lovely ad announcing the arrival of Louis Vuitton’s Damier Berkeley via their website. Louis Vuitton’s Berkeley gets its name off of Berkeley Square, a town square located in Westminister, London. It is an area known to inhabit extremely wealthy residents and acquires expensive (and limited) real estates. Louis Vuitton’s Berkeley is disguised in two different shades of the Damier canvas pattern, azur and ebony. Natural cowhide leather trim (on the azur version) or smooth chocolate leather (featured in the damier version) can be found throughout this bag, as well as round golden brass studs. Two key details I really like about the Berkeley would be the golden plated plaque on the front of the bag which reads “Louis Vuitton Inventeur‿, and four protective metal feet found at the base of this bag (a must if you seek to keep your handbags’ bottom clean). More features include adjustable rolled leather handles, patch pockets found on its sides, fine textile lining, a double zipper closure, a 12.4‿ x 8.7‿ x 5.5‿ measurement, and a $1,480 price tag.

What do you get when you combine red leather with a cute print and put it in a small package? Why it’s this adorable clutch wallet from Hayden-Harnett of course! What I love most about this wallet is the added accent of fabric on the front flap. It gives it such a unique look and the color is perfect for spring! The particular print on this Lido Wallet was designed by Madame Paule Marrot. For those of you out there that are unfamiliar with the work of Paule Marrot, I was able to find a little background info on Hayden-Harnett’s website:

We finally have our very own chic laptop bag! Our good friends at Prada decided that it was time to indulge those of us who appreciate some geek chic. Prada has come out with the “Prada Ombre Laptop Bag.‿ It is grey and silver patent leather, displaying the Prada symbol in the bottom center of the bag and provides an adjustable strap and interior padding for protection. It is medium-sized and fits most laptops. Retailing at $1,116 this bag might be as expensive as your laptop but it’s a fashionable way to tote around your computer everyday.

As a law student, I need my laptop all the time…at school, my internship, the café at 2am when I’m studying…etc. If I was going to be carrying something around with me that often I wanted it to look as stylish as my clothes and shoes.

Unfortunately, the majority of laptop bags are big, black, bulky, and non-designer. While I don’t completely love the style and coloring of the Prada Ombre, it does offer a new chic and couture alternative to carrying around your laptop. It is also simple enough to match almost anything and its patent leather makes it trendy enough to keep you looking stylish. Hopefully, this will start a new trend and more designers will follow in Prada’s footsteps and make more chic laptop bags.
